Description
Centimeter Size TaSe3 (Tantalum Triselenide) Single Crystals: Quasi-1D Quantum Material
TaSe3 is a quasi-one-dimensional (1D) transition-metal trichalcogenide with a monoclinic crystal structure, highly anisotropic electrical transport, and intriguing topological electronic properties. Unlike conventional layered 2D materials, TaSe3 consists of strongly bonded atomic chains coupled through weaker interchain interactions, making it an excellent platform for studying low-dimensional quantum phenomena.
TaSe3 exhibits metallic to semimetallic electronic behavior (as well as reported superconductivity) and has attracted considerable interest for its topological electronic band structure and charge density wave (CDW) physics. Unlike several related transition-metal trichalcogenides, TaSe3 does not exhibit a well-established ambient-pressure CDW transition, although pressure-induced CDW behavior has been reported.
Our high-quality TaSe3 single crystals are grown using carefully controlled crystal growth techniques to achieve excellent crystallinity, low defect concentrations, and well-defined chain structures. The crystals are suitable for mechanical exfoliation, quasi-1D nanowire fabrication, and advanced electronic transport studies.
Key advantages of our TaSe3 crystals:
-
High-quality single crystals with excellent structural uniformity.
-
Quasi-1D crystal structure with strongly anisotropic electronic properties.
-
Attractive platform for investigating pressure-induced CDW phenomena.
-
Topological electronic properties and low-dimensional quantum transport.
-
Suitable for exfoliation and fabrication of nanoscale electronic devices.
-
Suitable for ambient laboratory handling, with dry storage recommended for long-term preservation.
