Description
World's first commercially available Fe4GeTe2 vdW magnet crystals
Fe4GeTe2 is a 2D magnet that exhibits near room temperature ferromagnetism with Tc=270 K. Literature suggests that the material has a large conductivity, a large magnetic moment, and a low magnetic anisotropy. It crystalizes in rhombohedral structure R3m with vdW gap between the layers. Fe4GeTe2 has structural units of Fe-Fe dumbbells that are separated off from the plane of Ge atoms and bonded with tellurium atoms directly.
Fe4GeTe2 crystal growth require rather careful synthesis conditions in the Fe-Ge-Te phase triangle and our novelty relies on our ability to synthesize Fe4GeTe2 without any other Fe3GeTe2 and Fe5GeTe3 phases. It has 6N or higher purity. It is perfectly crystallized for you to probe the quantum effects without any ambiguity. Because of the difficulty of the crystal growth each crystal only measure few mm in size and the requires very labor intensive process (increasing the product cost)
