Description
Bulk vdW FeSe crystal is a vdW superconductor with critical tempearture (Tc) of ∼8K. It also exhibits a tetragonal-to-orthorhombic structural transition at Ts~90K. Recently, it has been reported that the FeSe monolayers become superconducting at 65K > Interface-induced superconductivity and strain-dependent spin density waves in FeSe/SrTiO3 thin films (Nature Materials 2013 doi:10.1038/nmat3654).FeSe (iron selenide) offered by 2Dsemiconductors Inc is layered material belonging to the iron-based superconductor family. Crystals were synthesized over 4 months using modified Bridgman technique to achieve large single domain sizes, single crystallinity, and high purity. Individual FeSe sheet consists of a continuous stacking of FeSe layers, where a square-lattice layer of iron atoms is sandwiched between two twice-sparser layers of bonding chalcogen atoms with in P4nmm space group. Crystals measure nearly 4-6 mm in size, they are perfectly oriented in 0001 direction, and ready for tape exfoliation without any complex exfoliation techniques (such as liquid phase or electrochemical methods).
