Description
LaTe2 is a layered charge density wave (CDW) material with exotic quantum properties. The crystal structure of LaTe2 is particular unique since 2D CDW LaTe2 is formed by square tiled tellurene layers separated by LaTe slabs crystallizing in layered undistorted tetragonal P4/nmm phase. Our crystals have been synthesized using high purity precursors to attain 6N pure vdW crystals with perfect exfoliation characteristics. Since Lanthanum and tellurium are both some of the rarest elements in the world, the crystal sizes are limited to few mm in size. But easy exfoliation characteristics and large single domain sizes make it easier to yield monolayer and few-layer sheets onto other substrates using standard mechanical or polymer assisted exfoliation techniques.
