Description
GdAsS is a rare-earth-based polar semimetal featuring gadolinium, arsenic, and sulfur. It crystallizes in a layered, noncentrosymmetric structure, offering a fertile platform for investigating magnetism, topological transport, and symmetry-breaking effects. Due to its thermodynamic complexity and instability under ambient synthesis routes, GdAsS is grown using a high-pressure anvil method requiring months of controlled high-temperature, high-pressure growth (product is in stock and ready to ship). Each product contains mm-sized single crystals, which are highly sought after for their unique electronic and magnetic behaviors. The properties of GdAsS crystals are summarized as follows:
