Description
World's first and only commercially available grey arsenic crystals.
β-phase arsenene also referred to as grey arsene. It is a stable form of arsenic in two-dimensions. It crystallizes in rhombohedral symmetry. Each individual 2D grey-arsene sheet is composed of buckled As atoms in 2D. Grey arsene sheets have been theoretically predicted to be 1.6 eV semiconductor with unique topological properties. However, experimental results are still lacking due to limitations in sample preparation. At 2Dsemiconductors, we have succeeded in synthesizing 6N or higher purity grey arsenic crystals with excellent exfoliation characteristics. Each sample measure ~cm in size.
